Listing a Loft

This transaction was one where I had to shift into overtime during the holidays.

We listed this fantastic top floor loft (with views!) at the end of the year, after the fall market started. Lofts typically take a little longer to sell.

I worked hard to get an offer for my seller on this one before the end of the year, and despite telling the buyer’s agent they needed to ask the lender if they worked with live/work lofts, a specific property type in San Francisco, he didn’t.

I called the lender when the offer came in (trust, but verify) to ask if they worked with this property type and they didn’t.

I sent the buyer’s agent my lender’s contact and got them pre-approved and the offer accepted for my seller.

The other agent had many delays, and I ended up having to go through the lender to get some docs signed, and even called the transaction coordinator’s boss because other things had stalled, despite my constant goading when it was time to remove contingencies.

I was in Europe, negotiating on behalf of my seller, but we finally got the deal closed for her before Thanksgiving.
